青岛三十九中（海大附中）初一英语组向初一同学发起了战“疫”英文作品征集，主题为 “FIGHT THE VIRUS”，共收集了作品50余份。今天展示的是同学们围绕主题“FIGHT THE VIRUS”制作的各类文艺文学作品。有的同学用心演唱了抗“疫”歌曲，有的同学精心绘制了手抄报，有的同学写了英文诗歌，还有的同学用英文为抗“疫”一线的所有工作者们写了一封信。

Mom, luckily safe and sound, shadow in her heart.

To be or not to be, be friends with animals, Mom tells me.

If you ask me, where I was in 2008?

Here, in this world, as a one-year-old girl.

Mom and Dad, learned Wenchuan earthquake,

A disaster, instantly, ruined homelands and buried lives,

Properties in loss, humans in pain, harmony in challenge.

Yet, rescue in action, wounds in healing, love in blossom,

Homes restored, confidence rebuilt, life resumed,

To be or not to be, show awe to nature, parents tell me.

If you ask me, where I was in 2020?

Here, in middle school, as a 12-year-old student.

The whole nation, fought with COVID-19,

A virus, scarily, infected people and endangered lives,

Economy in loss, humans in pain, harmony in challenge.

Yet, health care in time, cooperation in full swing, government in charge,

Spread curbed, patients treated, patriotism enhanced.

To be or not to be, show respect to life and motherland, parents tell me.

If you ask me, where I am now?

Right here, in this great nation, as a loyal child.

A wonder land, created miracles without a stop,

Wisdom in mind, unity in action, faith in heart.

Lovely and selfless medical staff, wholehearted devotion,

Lovely and tough soldiers, unwavering safeguarding,

Lovely and diligent workers, consistent contribution,

Lovely and respected scientists, endless solution-seeking,

Lovely and ordinary families, optimistic persistence,

Lovely and kind Chinese, unyielding protection of life.

From the news, we saw a lot of people weredonnatingmasks, money and food to the people working in the hospital. I also would like to thank all the doctors fighting on the front line, they are the people who are risking their lives to protect others’. They are the real heroes.

With all efforts from the people in China and othercounntries, all countries areunitiedand supporting each other, I believe this virus will be defeated very soon! Stay strong China! Stay strong all the countries!

Although people all over the country do not leave home, their hope that the infected people will get better soon has already spread all over the country. We are isolated from the virus but not from love. This love permeates the streets and lanes, and it condenses in everyone's heart.

There are many heroes in this war. January 24th, it should have been the day on which families reunite together. But at that time theheroswere ready to leave for Wuhan. After saying goodbye to their families, they set out. In Wuhan, their beautiful faces were left marks by masks. When the situation in China is becoming better and better, they choose to go to other countries to helpthem.Theyare angels in white, and they are fighters in white!

·There is no time to be quiet, just someone is carrying a heavy load for you. Hope our medical staff can come back safely. Salute to the most beautiful heroes who put themselves in harm's way!
